Over the past two and a half centuries, America has grown, changed, and overcome challenges that once seemed impossible. Our history has been marked by both triumphs and struggles, but through it all, the ideals of liberty, self-government, and opportunity have remained at the heart of our national story. What makes America worth celebrating is not perfection. It is the belief that every person should have the freedom to pursue their dreams, speak their mind, worship as they choose, and build a better future for themselves and their families. Across generations, millions of people have contributed to this great American experiment. Farmers, teachers, factory workers, soldiers, business owners, parents, and neighbors have all helped shape the communities we call home. As we mark America's 250th birthday, let us take a moment to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy, remember those who came before us, and renew our commitment to building strong communities for future generations. The story of America is still being written. May we continue to write it with gratitude, determination, and hope. --------------------------------------------------- El Niño has come and here’s what it means for Floridians --------------------------------------------------- It's Hurricane Season and knowing what to expect can help you and your family prepare for the months ahead. Weather experts are reporting that a “Super El Niño” is currently influencing our weather here in Hillsborough County. Here's what that could mean for our area: Fewer named Atlantic hurricanes. Above-average rainfall is likely this fall and winter. More clouds and rain than during a typical dry season. A lower risk of winter drought conditions. A greater potential for severe weather during the fall and winter months. Staying informed and preparing early can make all the difference this hurricane season. Source: “El Niño has officially arrived. Here’s what it means for Florida” Webpage: https://shorturl.at/NTLP6 --------------------------------------------------- General Community Notices & Information --------------------------------------------------- The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) Governing Board voted to declare a Modified Phase III "Extreme" Water Shortage due to dry conditions across the region, which requires all residents in Hillsborough County, to follow one-day-per-week watering restrictions. The restrictions are in effect through October 1, 2026. Residents living in Unincorporated Hillsborough County should follow the guidelines as indicated below. Know your watering days (One-day-per-week through October 1, 2026). If your address (house number) ends in: 0 or 1, water only on Mondays 2 or 3, water only on Tuesdays 4 or 5, water only on Wednesdays 6 or 7, water only on Thursdays 8 or 9, water only on Fridays This is NOT a complete list of the current water restrictions. To See the ALL County water restrictions visit: http://hcfl.gov/waterrestrictions Cove has sent multiple emails about the demolition of homes in the Village to make way for new ones, and there have also been numerous discussions about water line breaks occurring sometimes during this work. If you remember, to help minimize these disruptions, Cove installed isolation valves throughout the Community. While these improvements might reduce the number of water outages, they cannot and will not prevent every single one. That's why it's important for every resident to be prepared. Keeping a supply of drinking water and water for hand washing or flushing on hand is a simple, inexpensive way to be ready for ANY unexpected water line break. If you choose not to prepare for an event that has been communicated in advance, then it's difficult to hold anyone, especially Cove, responsible for you not having the water or supplies you need during an outage. For as little as $20-25, you can get enough water to last 1 to 3 days or more for most outage situations, and thus eliminate a huge amount of stress. A little preparation now can make a big difference especially when there’s no water. --------------------------------------------------- A Message to Our Readers --------------------------------------------------- Welcome to the Local Ledger Business Directory, and thank you for taking the time to explore its pages.
