Drinking
Water
A typical person needs about ½ gallon of drinking water and ½ gallon for basic hygiene each day. At $1.25 per gallon, Crystal Geyser Natural Alpine Spring Water from Dollar Tree costs just $10 (before tax) for 8 gallons.
That's enough water to last one person approximately 4–8 days, or two people about 2–4 days, depending on usage. When a water outage occurs, isn't $10-$20 a small price to pay for the peace of mind of having water when you need it most?
Can't get to the store for water supplies? If you live in Strawberry Ridge then You simply cover the cost of the water, and I'll pick it up & deliver it for you. John M Jones III, 352.219.3964
Action Plan for Known Water Outages: Cove has sent multiple emails about the demolition of homes in the Village to make way for new ones, and there have also been numerous discussions about water line breaks occurring sometimes during this work. If you remember, to help minimize these disruptions, Cove installed isolation valves throughout the Community. While these improvements might reduce the number of water outages, they cannot and will not prevent every single one. That's why it's important for every resident to be prepared. Keeping a supply of drinking water and water for hand washing or flushing on hand is a simple, inexpensive way to be ready for ANY unexpected water line break. If you choose not to prepare for an event that has been communicated in advance, then it's difficult to hold anyone, especially Cove, responsible for you not having the water or supplies you need during an outage. For as little as $20-25, you can get enough water to last 1 to 3 days or more for most outage situations, and thus eliminate a huge amount of stress. A little preparation now can make a big difference especially when there’s no water.
